Changes in opening hours in December–January

There are exceptions in library hours during December and January. You can always check the valid daily opening hours on SEAMK-Finna web page(Opens in a new window).

Exceptions on December 5, 15 and 19, 2025

Exceptions during holiday season

• Unstaffed hours for SEAMK students and staff, as well as the degree students at UCS 2.1.–6.1.2026 between 9–21

EXAM rooms and visits during holiday season

• EXAM room in Kampustalo building is closed 19.12.2025–6.1.2026. EXAM visits are not possible.

Longer loan periods due to library closure

The loan periods for the loans will be longer because the library is closed. The due date will be 8.1.2026. Renew your loans to get a longer loan period.

• 28-day loans will have a longer loan period from 24.11.
• 14-day course books will have a longer loan period from 8.12.
• 7-day sports equipments will have a longer loan period from 15.12.

Returning books

Books can be dropped into the book drop box next to the C0 door. The C0 door is located opposite to the Tower House (Tornitalo) student apartments. Books dropped into the drop box will be processed on Wednesday Jan 7, 2025, as the library opens.

Processing requests made in SEAMK-Finna during library closure

Requests made after Friday 19.12. after 5 pm will be processed on Wednesday Jan 7, 2025, as the library opens. Please wait until you receive a notification by email. Then you will be able to pick up and check out the book you requested.
